The East Carolina Cheerleading and Mascot Program is a vital part of the athletic program providing entertainment and motivation for our Pirate teams. The ECU Cheerleaders and Mascots act as ambassadors for the University participating at countless events and community service projects through out the year. more

The East Carolina University Dance team is a very important and vital part of the athletic program and community. The team serves as entertainment and support for Pirate athletic teams. Besides performing and cheering on the pirate teams the dance team members serve in the community in appearances and fundraisers. more

The ECU Marching Pirates is the dominant spirit organization at East Carolina University. The band entertains over three-hundred thousand fans each year, performing at ECU football games and making guest appearances at NFL games and regional high school marching band festivals. The band's style is both traditional and innovative: exciting arrangements of diverse musical styles, blended with traditional and contemporary marching, allow the band to create shows that are both musically and visually entertaining. more

The primary focus of the Student Pirate Club is to involve East Carolina University students in an excitement-oriented organization that is committed to supporting and promoting all ECU athletic programs. More importantly, it is our goal to educate ECU students of the importance of giving back to the Pirate Club after graduation to support ECU athletics for a lifetime. more
