The recently opened, newly dedicated Murphy Center, a 52,475-square-foot edifice, houses the strength and conditioning facilities for the ECU athletics program, along with banquet rooms, sport memorabilia, and an academic enhancement center. The Murphy Center was built for approximately $13 million and opened its doors to ECU student-athletes in June 2002. The building was officially dedicated on September 13, 2002. more
 
width=90 Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium - The Early Years The original plan for ECU's current football facility was announced on Oct. 7, 1961, by Dr. Leo Jenkins, Chancellor of the College, at a meeting of the Society of Buccaneers. Within a year, $283,387 had been raised, although the goal had been only $200,000. With the funds in hand, Ficklen Stadium was built. more
 
width=90 Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum - After a complete renovation in the early 1990s, Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum is now one of the top facilities for athletic events in the state and also has been the site of concerts, graduations, and many more events. The Pirate men's and women's basketball teams train and compete in the arena, along with the volleyball team. A second-story walkway across to the new Murphy Center allows easy access to games for recruits and special guests. more
 
width=90 Clark-LeClair Stadium- The newest gem on the ECU campus is Clark-LeClair Stadium, which arguably rates as one of the top collegiate baseball facilities in the nation. With an estimated price tag of $11 million, Clark-LeClair Stadium nearly doubles Harrington Field's capacity of approximately 1,750 (excluding outfield areas). more
 
width=90 ECU Softball Field - The home of the East Carolina softball team is the ECU Softball Field located adjacent to Clark-LeClair Stadium. Lights were recently installed, allowing the Pirates to play their first-ever night game in Greenville during the 2006 season. East Carolina hosts numerous tournaments each season, including the annual Pirate Invitational and Pirate Clash. ECU hosts four Conference USA series each season and welcomes a myriad of in-state rivals each season. more

width=90 Overton's Lake Kristi - East Carolina University's premiere home cross country course has been the site of the North Carolina Collegiate Championship, the Colonial Athletic Association Championship, the Conference USA Cross Country Championship, and most recently, an NCAA Cross Country Regional. more
 
width=90 ECU Tennis Complex - East Carolina plays its home matches at the eight-court ECU Tennis Complex located directly behind Minges Coliseum and adjacent to the Ward Sports Medicine Building. The court was recently resurfaced, giving Pirate student-athletes a state-of the-art hard-top surface for competition. The complex is home to numerous home matches each season and the ECU Fall Invitational, a tournament expected to make a return to Greenville in future years. more
